Ingredients
  

  • 5 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions
 

  • First you have to preheat the oven to 175 degrees C then grease 2 12-cup muffin tins.
  • After that you have to beat maple syrup and margarine (better to use real butter) together in a bowl until they all are well mixed and a creamy texture is produced. Then add and mix the egg well.
  • Combine all-purpose and whole wheat flours, baking powder, nutmeg, salt, and ginger in another  bowl. After that  add the above dry ingredients to the wet ingredients one by one, mixing with the milk, beating batter briefly after each batch addition. Lastly, fill the prepared muffin cups 3/4 with batter.
  •  Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes.
