  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts


  • Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F and grease and flour two pans.
  • Mix all-together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and place it aside.
  • Cream white sugar, brown sugar, and butter in a bowl until and unless it gets light and fluffy. Beat in some eggs, not all-together. After that Mix in mashed bananas. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, mix it well after each addition. Stir in some chopped walnuts. Pour the batter into the pans.
