  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
  • 3/4 boneless chicken breasts, diced into 1/2-inch pieces
  •  frozen peas and diced carrots
  • 3 green onions, trimmed and sliced
  • 2 to 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • salt and pepper, optional and to taste
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce


  • Firstly, in the frying pan add oil and chicken, cook over medium flame for 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and place it on the plate, keep it aside.
  • Meanwhile, add peas, carrots, green onions, and cook it for 2 minutes until the veggies are softened.
  • Next, add garlic and cook it for 1 minute.
  • Moreover, add veggies on one side of the pan and scramble eggs on the other side of the pan, and cook to scramble.
  • Lastly, add chicken, rice and evenly drizzle soy sauce, stir it to combine. Cook for 2 minutes.

Tips for Making Homemade Fried Rice
